In our world our twin sons have autism and severe learning disabilities. We are always trying to find ideas to entertain, educate, survive and enjoy life with them. This blog is about sharing the ideas we have and the things we get up to!

Visiting Tarr Steps
We're working on a general theme of water at the moment. Its highly motivating for both our boys so we thought it would be a good way to get started with the home education. Its giving us lots of places to go out and about and discover and we had a lovely day at Tarr Steps last week. Got to make the most of getting out of the house while the weather's good!
The boys experience the world in a very physical and sensory way and have lots of energy so there was plenty for them to explore - walking across the steps,
dipping their toes in the water (mainly Charlie!),

Rainbow Pompom Toy
I made this toy to go in James sensory tub which he had for his birthday this year. Its just a pompom made with a rainbow coloured "fluffy scarf" yarn but tied up with several different coloured ribbons left to trail instead of a length of the yarn. Now, my kids seem fine with it but I made one for someone else and it got eaten so I guess it just goes to show how different children can be!
